The novel horse-patrols by the Mounted Squadron Unit, which is a component of the Community Engagement Policing Initiative by the current Police Administration is achieving its intended goals. The friendly mounted-horses patrol many communities in Accra every day. The patrols have provided the Police with a lot of crime-related intelligence. They have also deepened Police visibility and facilitated Police-public interactions.
